HII Mission Technologies is seeking a IT Systems Support Specialist to support the Air National Guard 132nd Combat Training Squadron (CTS) Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC) in Des Moines, IA. The selected candidate will join a high-performing technology team responsible for Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events, mission networks, site connectivity, cybersecurity, and other key support functions.  #LI-MJ1

What you will do

• Maintain multi-user computer systems, collaborating with network administrators to ensure seamless operation.
• Recommend, install, and configure hardware and software, ensuring compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Joint Security Implementation Guide (JSIG) cybersecurity requirements.
• Oversee DTOC mission network servers, computer equipment, and peripheral connections.
• Plan and respond to service outages and system issues efficiently.
• Participate in project teams, contributing to the design and integration of OTTI technologies to meet mission needs.
• Provide software application assistance, supporting commonly used office automation and modeling & simulation (M&S) tools.
• Support Host-Based Security System (HBSS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, and continuous monitoring efforts.
• Implement workstation patches, security fixes, and service updates for client systems.

What you must have

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field + 2 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree in a related field + 4 years of relevant experience. 
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) + 6 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

• Experience patching and updating Windows and Linux OS in offline environments.
• Experience configuring, modifying, and managing software in compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Joint Security Implementation Guide (JSIG).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and other relational database management systems.
• Experience building and updating Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies, including VMware, Windows, Linux, physical computers, and virtual machines.
• Familiarity with Host-Based Security System (HBSS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and continuous monitoring solutions.

Certifications & Security Clearance:

• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification.
• Active or current DoD Secret Security Clearance (must be maintained throughout employment).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Requirements

• Current of Active Top Secret Clearance.
• DISA Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Training/Certification.
• Experience with analysis and troubleshoot Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) / High-Level Architecture (HLA) packets using Wireshark, Distributed Packet Analyzer (DPA), or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of Citrix and PowerShell scripting.
