Cloud Solutions Architect

The Role in a Nutshell 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Industry Leading Secure and Recover arm, as Cloud Solutions Architect. You’ll be joining a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning with expert peers in Solutions Architecture, Cloud Engineering and Pre-Sales Design. We innovate, design and deliver cutting-edge services in the Cloud Service Provider market, integrating and leveraging best of breed technology to enable delivery from multiple cloud vendors, making sure systems and solutions are fit for purpose. Your role will be to capture and understand each customer’s specific technical and business requirements and to work with subject matter experts within the business to deliver a set of options which offer the customer a secure and effective solution to their needs. You will create compelling platform migration, systems integration, and digital transformation solutions, building competitive commercials for each proposal with support from the Pre-Sales, Finance and Sales teams and through working closely with Cyberfort’s technology vendor partners.

In responding to our customers’ requirements, you’ll demonstrate an ability to define, develop and communicate solutions that are functional, resilient, and secure. You’ll show a clear appreciation for the customers need for these to be cost effective, fit for their unique requirements, and for any associated risks to be clearly identified and communicated. Strong communication skills are essential to ascertain detailed customer requirements and present a cohesive and persuasive proposal with clear benefits and rationale.

This role would suit a dynamic thinker with a strong focus on customer-centric solutions, technical acumen and the ability and aspiration to grow and develop their skills. Reporting directly into the Head of Cloud Solutions, the Cloud Solutions Architect works cross functionally across the business including Cloud Engineering, Service Operations, Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to guarantee the delivery of complex and innovative solutions and strengthen the company’s position as a market leader.

The Impact You’ll Make

• Developing a deep knowledge of the Cyberfort product set and how it integrates to deliver maximum value to our customers.
• Delivering creative, technically robust, and commercially compelling customer proposals
• Working with SME’s within Cyberfort, you’ll design customer platforms, ensuring they are technically and commercially viable and fully satisfy each customer’s particular needs
• Facilitating customer meetings or demos to understand the customer’s requirements and to articulate the business impact associated with the technical solutions and delivery approaches that are best suited to each customer’s particular needs, building trust within our customer base
• Focused on improving cost, quality, speed of delivery, and security as well as overall technical effectiveness in meeting the customers’ requirements
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and vendors to achieve competitive pricing and support during platform design
• Attending conferences and partner events, acting as an ambassador for Cloud Solutions both inside and outside the business
• Travelling within the UK visiting existing or prospective customers, to spend time understanding their challenges and developing potential solutions

Technical Competencies

• Proven experience in a technological role, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Background in technical services with an understanding of at least one area of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and enterprise solutions.
• Strong knowledge in at least one area of technical architecture (Microsoft, Networks or OpenSource)
• Experience in designing and delivering scalable, repeatable solution processes.
• Track record of implementing infrastructure services in a variety of distributed computing environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, products and their applications.
• Experience of Azure and AWS Cloud and hyperscaler technologies.
• Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements, including PCI-DSS, ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Additional Information:

• Reporting to: Head of Cloud Solutions
• Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, optional flexible hours. 
• Location: Hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office per week (Office Locations: Sandwich (Kent) or Newbury (Berkshire))
