Lead the charge in protecting what matters most. As the Executive Director, Security leader for Ingram Micro North America & LATAM, you’ll drive the evolution of critical programs that safeguard our people, products, processes, information, and reputation. Working closely with top executives across global and country operations—including HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations (warehouse/distribution centers) and Audit—you’ll spearhead risk and threat assessments, develop strategic mitigation plans, and ensure revenue preservation.
Reporting to our Vice President of Corporate Security & Chief Security Officer you will design and implement an effective, proactive security strategy to manage crises, mitigate global risks, maintain business continuity, and fortify the organization’s resilience. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping security policies, tackling complex challenges across diverse regions, and influencing the company’s long-term security vision.

Your role:
- Lead a team of physical security professionals across North America & LATAM.
- Proactively lead operational security measures concerning the company and their employees.
- Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to drive the physical & technical due diligence process.
- Develop, manage and implement security programs to safeguard against loss and harm in alignment with the business objectives.
- Direct local Security leaders in the investigation process related to losses incurred.
- Assist local management in the identification and mitigation of transportation losses, theft and fraud.
- Assist in the development of budgets, timelines, and resourcing plans for major capital projects.
- Partner effectively with key groups such as OPS, IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal and HR regular communications with a variety of stakeholders, to ensure that all concerned parties are well informed and trained.
- Drive both cost and operational efficiency through the program as it scales, while also continuously innovating.
- Refine and implement an incident response program aligned with key stakeholders.
- Lead and grow the security operations for both warehouse and office locations.
- Liaison with local law enforcement for incident responses and best practices.
- Refine executive protection guidelines in support of business objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate communications with those affected by incidents.
- Develop security construction standards and confirm the accuracy of site drawings and security designs depicting recommended hardware and security controls for all office and warehouse locations.
- Drive the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) strategy, compliance, audit and certification.
- Leads protection services supporting executives, special events, or travel-related security needs, utilizing third-party consultants or vendors where/when needed.
- Develops and documents standards for measuring efficiency and effectiveness of security programs.
- Manage complex security improvement programs across business units and operations.
- Assists all executives related to incident management protocols and business continuity planning. Primary owner as needed during an incident or event.
- Provide travel guidance, intelligence, and communication to employees affected.
- Design and implement a loss prevention program supporting the protection of physical assets and intellectual property.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to expand security protocols and procedures, including BCP.
- Educate employees on physical security policy and standard methodologies.
- Analyze data, lead management reporting, and develop a strategy for the program.
- Manage cross-functional relationships and projects to ensure policy, process, and systems are aligned to meet the needs of the programs.
- Coordinate RFP and new build outs with external integrators and internal project management teams.
- Brief executive management on security related issues.
What you bring to the role:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., criminal justice, security management, public safety, criminology, business or equivalent) master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience working in corporate security function with strong executive leadership, leading large, cross-functional teams through regional people leaders across North America and LATAM.
- Proven success in managing the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) certification process.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Security Manager (CSM) preferred.
- Law enforcement relationships required, and prior law enforcement experience a plus.
- Executive protection program management.
- 3rd party vendor management experience.
- Prior experience leading complex investigations in the region.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization including operational personnel as well as executive leadership on the status of security and issues surrounding enterprise risk management decisions.
- Excellent technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills required.
- Effective communication and influencing skills across global audiences.
- Strong computer and systems knowledge, including experience with multiple access control systems.
- Experience with contract negotiations.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion concerning highly confidential and/or privileged information.
- Impeccable reputation and ethics with the ability to obtain security clearances up to Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to travel up to 25% within the assigned region.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $200,900.00 - $361,600.00 per year.The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
