The Opportunity

 

A career in the Data Protection team of our Risk & Quality Function will provide you with the opportunity to serve as a critical guardian of data privacy (GDPR) within PwC Cyprus. You will be assisting in the development and implementation of data protection policies, procedures and awareness campaigns reporting to the Deputy Data Protection Officer.  

 

Your Responsibilities    

  • Assist in monitoring data protection compliance programs, including but not limited to GDPR or other relevant local and international laws 

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the data protection policies, procedures and guidelines to safeguard sensitive data and ensure data privacy compliance 

  • Assist and coordinate responses to Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), data portability requests and deletion requests, ensuring compliance with specified timelines 

  • Assist in the DPRA/DPIA process  

  • Maintain various registers for compliance purposes (Register of processing activities, register for data processors etc) 

  • Assisting in the development and delivery of data protection training and awareness programs for employees to ensure they understand their roles in maintaining data privacy 

 

What You Bring    

  • University degree in Law, Information Security, Data Management or in a related field 

  • Good knowledge of data protection tools, technologies and information security principles 

  • Holder of a data protection certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CISSP will be considered as an advantage  

  • Previous working experience with exposure in data protection will be considered an advantage 

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment 

  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team 

  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language both verbal and written 

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suites
