About the role:

As Principal Architect – IAM, this role will lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable identity solutions that enable seamless access while protecting critical systems and data.

You’ll act as the technical authority across IGA, PAM, Microsoft Entra, and key integrations, ensuring alignment with Origin’s business goals and security standards.

This is a strategic role where your architectural leadership will shape IAM maturity, support digital transformation, and embed identity at the heart of Origin’s technology ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities

•        Lead the development of Origin’s IAM architecture, including frameworks, patterns, and standards across IGA, PAM, Microsoft Entra, and authentication services.
•        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IAM solutions with business goals, technology roadmaps, and regulatory requirements.
•        Translate business needs into secure, scalable IAM designs that balance usability, performance, and risk mitigation.
•        Evaluate IAM tools and technologies, contributing to strategic recommendations and continuous improvement of the IAM ecosystem.
•        Strengthen Origin’s IAM security posture through governance, policy development, and alignment with internal and external standards.
•        Mentor IAM team members, drive process optimisation through automation, and support innovation through research into emerging trends and threats. 

Skills & Requirements

•        Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications desirable.
•        Certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA, or relevant architecture frameworks.
•        Strong expertise in IAM concepts including authentication, identity federation, and access governance.
•        Experience with platforms like Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, or similar.
•        Familiarity with Zero Trust models, cloud identity, and modern protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM).
•        Understanding of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and Critical Infrastructure regulations
•   Suitable candidates will be required to undergo background checks in accordance with the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act.
