By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you’ll be doing

 

 

  • Ensuring the resilience and continuity of IT services, minimizing disruptions, and enabling rapid recovery from incidents.
  • Developing and maintaining service continuity plans that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Designing and managing disaster recovery plans, including regular testing and drills.
  • Coordinating responses to service disruptions, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Conducting business impact analyses to prioritize recovery efforts based on critical services.
  • Collaborating with IT teams, business units, and external partners to integrate continuity plans effectively.
  • Maintaining documentation of plans, procedures, and incident reports, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Delivering training programs to enhance awareness and promote a culture of resilience.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards while staying informed on emerging best practices.


What You’ll Bring Along

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical background, risk management expertise, and a strategic approach to service continuity.
  • Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in risk assessments and mitigation strategies, along with familiarity with risk management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to design and execute disaster recovery plans and testing.
  • Strong incident management skills and ability to coordinate response efforts.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in business impact analyses.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management proficiency with the ability to handle multiple initiatives.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements related to service continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBCP, ITIL, or CISSP would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and operational best practices.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
