IT Security Specialist

Role: IT Security Specialist

At Facilization, we are looking for a dedicated IT Security Specialist to join our team and help us proactively defend our systems, networks and data from evolving cyber threats.

What You’ll Do

• Implementing, configuring, and maintaining security solutions such as Identity Management (Active Directory, Entra ID), Web Application Firewalls, Anti-Malware, and Endpoint Protection.
• Performing regular vulnerability scans and patch management across systems and applications.
• Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses.
• Managing and monitoring SIEM tools to detect anomalies and potential threats.
• Investigating, responding to, and documenting security incidents and breaches.
• Supporting security audits and ensuring alignment with compliance initiatives.
• Collaborating with IT and Delivery teams to integrate security best practices into system architecture and software development processes.
• Evaluating and recommending new security tools and technologies.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date security documentation.
• Staying current on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and tools.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT Security, or 4+ years in a related technical role.
• Knowledge of and experience with security technologies: Identity Management, Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Management, SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with penetration testing tools and techniques.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards is a plus.
• Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, OSCP) are preferred but not mandatory.
