The IT Asset and Compliance Specialist focuses on protecting Westinghouse’s digital assets from cyber threats by providing oversight over device inventory and configuration baseline to ensure compliance with company’s security policies. Their primary responsibility will include managing the inventory reconciliation process between multiple different computing asset sources and verify security coverage, such as antivirus, patching and vulnerability scanning, through continuous monitoring. When anomalies are detected, the individual will report and track remediation with platform owners within IT to close the configuration gap. The individual will be accountable for managing the reconciliation process in its entirety, including deployment of an automation tool and vendor management if a third-party platform is utilized.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, collect, reconcile and analyze data from a wide range of asset sources to determine assets that do not meet baseline configuration requirements, including but not limited to standard security tools
- Maintain, manage and support reconciliation tool and process in its entirety
- Configure reporting and dashboards to provide real-time information to enable asset owners to continuously action gaps the reconciliation process identifies
- Document deficiencies and establish processes to remediate gaps identified during the reconciliation process in partnership with various IT platform owners
- Create and report remediation metrics to management
- Carry out other security assessment activities, which includes coordinating, collecting, and analyzing data from a wide range of internal groups
- Contribute to creation and maintenance of documentation / procedures in support of the process, including identifying opportunities for automation
- Coordinate and support tasks related to operation of the IT Compliance program and processes, including internal projects
- Assist with other compliance-related matters as assigned
Requirements:
- BS or BA or Equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of IT support experience required.
- Fully proficient in understanding established policy requirements and standards
- Technical ability to create reconciliation rules to reflect the requirements from policy and standards
- Must be capable of managing varied assignments and working independently and in a group.
- Attention to detail highly desired
- Knowledge in Configuration Management Database highly desired
- Knowledge in cybersecurity asset management concept
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the business and the ability to leverage knowledge of the appropriate approach and degree of detail for each.
