Mobile Application Security Engineer

Optimiza is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Application Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this critical role, you will focus on protecting mobile applications from vulnerabilities and threats by implementing security measures throughout the mobile development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security strategies for mobile applications across different platforms (iOS, Android).
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis of mobile applications to uncover security flaws and weaknesses.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the application development process.
• Monitor and analyze security incidents involving mobile applications and provide remediation guidance.
• Stay current with the latest mobile security threats, vulnerabilities, and tools available in the market.
• Conduct training sessions for development teams on secure coding practices for mobile applications.
• Provide recommendations on security technologies and tools to enhance mobile application security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in mobile application security or related roles.
• In-depth knowledge of mobile application architecture, security standards, and best practices.
• Experience with secure coding practices for iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Java, Kotlin) applications.
• Familiarity with mobile application security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, MobSF, App Scanner).
• Solid understanding of encryption, authentication, and secure API design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSSLP, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
