Telenor Cyberdefence AS is a wholly owned, newly started Nordic cyber security company in the Telenor Group. Telenor Cyberdefence AS' ambition is to become a leading MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider) in the Nordic market, among other things by using Telenor's unique access to threat intelligence to support our services. In addition to delivering modern managed security services, Telenor Cyberdefence AS will also offer specialist expertise through consultancy services and testing of infrastructure / applications with our Offensive Security team.

As a Security Analyst at Telenor Cyberdefence, you will join a team of dedicated colleagues who are all passionate about their job. The team works according to a hybrid model that takes on a variety of tasks and challenges. In this role, you’ll contribute to the daily operations of our Security Operations Center (SOC), which includes duty on operation of the SOC one day per week. The remaining days will be used to further develop and strengthen our SOC services, through a continuous improvement mindset, interdisciplinary collaboration with other areas of expertise and personal training. 

We believe that quality of our detection is important to give quality content to our SOC, which in turn gives beneficial value to our customers. We are especially interested in candidates with a strong passion for detection and detection systems.
 

Key responsibilities:

• Identify, analyze, and respond to security threats targeting our customers.

• Write incident reports and serve as an advisory point of contact with our customers.

• Transfer knowledge about incidents and threat actors into detection, advisory, and reports.

• Contributing to continuous improvement and further development of our SOC.

• Proactively searching for malware or attackers.

We believe you have the following qualifications and personality skills:   

• Relevant higher education, but relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

• Is highly motivated to work with cyber security and wants to further develop your expertise in detection and security analysis.

• Understanding of the threat landscape and knowledge of vulnerability exploitation.

• Knowledge of cloud-based security solutions.

• Good habits related to documentation, routines, and reporting.
