The Cybersecurity and Network Security Engineer manages Industrial Control Systems/Operational Technology/Internet of Cybersecurity and Network Security Engineer support in assessing, improving, and maintaining the cybersecurity posture of the client environments to mitigate cyber security risks (e.g., insider and external threats, intentional and accidental). Responsible include the audit of ICS/OT environments and performing risk/vulnerability assessments.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar), Computer Science, or similar scientific / technical field with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

Manages Industrial Control Systems/Operational Technology/Internet of Cybersecurity and Network Security Engineer support in assessing, improving, and maintaining the cybersecurity posture of the client environments to mitigate cyber security risks (e.g., insider and external threats, intentional and accidental).

Assists in creating, maintaining, and administering computer networks for projects. 

Performs routine maintenance, such as applying software updates and patches. 

Helps troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve basic network problems under supervision. 

Creates and maintains documentation related to network configuration and processes. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar), Computer Science, or similar scientific / technical field with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks for ICS/OT environments (ISA-99/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, CIS, Perdue Reference Model etc.)

  • Strong understanding of OT network communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, CIP, Modbus, OPC, etc.) and industrial networking topologies (e.g., ring, star, etc.)

  • A minimum of Five (5) years “hands on” experience assessing, designing, and implementing ICS/OT network architectures

  • Demonstrated technical skills to analyze, design, and deploy complex Ethernet/IP architecture and communication technologies

  • Experience with Nazomi Cyber-Physical System (CPS)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $70K – 140K  with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
