DoD Clearance: SecretAre you big into Crypto? We’re not talking currency. Our Crypto team in the creates cutting edge embedded cryptographic capabilities for U.S. military communications products. We regularly work with the N.S.A. to ensure our military communications are secure and trustworthy.
Our team works alongside multiple hardware, FPGA, and software teams to seamlessly embed our advanced technology into several different products, all with the end goal of keeping our warfighters safe and secure and bringing them home. This team gets to work on a wide variety of innovative products, both new and existing, so it's not your typical repetitive workload.
No, you do not need to come from a crypto background, this team will provide the tools and training to grow your skills & knowledge in cybersecurity and algorithms and how they play a role in all our products.
What You Will Do:
- You will decompose systems level requirements into sub-system requirements and develop verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
- You will lead technical planning, integration, verification, and validation events of cryptographic sub-system solutions, while maintaining cost and schedule.
- You will develop and execute verification and test plans and procedures to meet system and security requirements.
- You will grow overall team technical capability through mentoring and coaching of technical concepts.
- You will support new product design and development.
- You will be a technical leader of a cross functional team of software and systems engineers who are currently collaborating with multiple teams across RTX businesses to create new and exciting mission critical products to help break into new markets.
- You will get to work with quantum resistant encryption algorithms.
- You will communicate effectively to a host of stakeholders across the technical spectrum, including customers, program management and senior leadership
What You Will Learn:
- You will gain technical experience on the always evolving latest security requirements.
- You will explore secure systems and software development principles within a supportive team environment.
- You will develop insights into cryptographic applications, fostering a deeper understanding of their implementation and implications.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- 3+ years of experience developing and integrating complex, multi-threaded embedded software using C and C++
- 3+ years of standard full lifecycle software development practices, including the use of configuration management tools
- Prior experience in leading and or mentoring teams and running projects through the full development model
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Crypto system requirements capture, design formulation, algorithms and implementation
- Verification and validation of crypto system functional and security requirements
- Development of artifacts to support certification of crypto system and components
- Experience with Information Assurance and/or Cybersecurity industry standards of practice

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
