Cloud Security Analyst

The Cloud Security Analyst is a member of GoSecure’s Managed Cloud Security (MCS) Team. They provide technical consulting services in cloud security operations with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. This includes working with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, and related technologies. The analyst supports clients by configuring cloud-native security tools, responding to cloud threats, and implementing best practices to strengthen the cloud security posture of various environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting services to clients on Microsoft cloud security controls and configurations.
• Monitor alerts and incidents within Sentinel, Defender, and Purview to detect and respond to threats.
• Support the integration and configuration of data connectors, analytics rules, and playbooks in Microsoft Sentinel.
• Investigate identity-related threats using Microsoft Entra ID, Defender for Identity, and Conditional Access policies.
• Assist other analysts in investigating and resolving escalated cloud security alerts.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for incident handling, configuration standards, and playbook development.
• Stay up to date with evolving cloud threats and Microsoft security roadmap.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 2–3 years minimum experience in a cybersecurity, SOC, or cloud analyst role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, or Purview.
• Certification such as SC-200, AZ-500, or SC-300 considered a strong asset.
• Good knowledge of cloud architecture, IAM principles, and security governance in Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, KQL) and automation (e.g., Logic Apps).
• Experience working with cloud logs and understanding of cloud-based incident response.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work well in both independent and team settings.
• Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Microsoft licensing, compliance, or hybrid cloud setups is an advantage.
