Internship - Software security Engineer

Job summary 

This role is an internship of 4 to 6 month based in Valence (Gare TGV accessible easily via train from Lyon Part Dieu - 35 minutes). As an Intern, you will support teams to find security vulnerabilities in target systems, and applications developed by Ingenico R&D teams. By analyzing the state of the art regarding the DAST testing, you will assist the software Security team to adopt the right DAST testing strategy.

Main responsibilities

o   Build scripts and configure tools to automate DAST testing in CI/CD environments.

o   Assist with various automation and/or DAST testing strategy enhancement initiatives

o   Develop or review security test plans and specifications according to the company internal SSDLC policy.

o   Participate in team discussions about product security needs and learn how they are implemented.

o   Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and testing tools.

o   Prepare and present a synopsis of experience with the Company at the end of the internship.

Profile

o   Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science (Master 1 or Master 2) or Engineering School degree in Cybersecurity or related area of study.

o   Autonomous and able to make research, curious.

o   General understanding of cybersecurity principles and interest in Linux System.

o   Familiarity with Python or another scripting language.

o   Good understanding of security testing such as DAST and SAST.

o   Team player with good communication skills and a proactive mindset.

o   Proficiency in English and French.
