We are hiring a Journeyman Cybersecurity Engineer to support secure operations and compliance for enterprise IT systems. This role will focus on risk assessment, vulnerability management, and continuous authorization support, ensuring alignment with DoD cybersecurity standards and mission objectives.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or information assurance
  • Security+ CE certification (required)
  • Experience with NIST 800-53, RMF, and DoD ATO processes
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening
  • Experience supporting security assessments, audits, and incident response
  • Strong understanding of secure system design and risk mitigation
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting continuous ATO (cATO) or security inheritance models
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and automated security testing
  • Experience with tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Fortify, or Splunk
  • Knowledge of STIG compliance and DISA security guidance
  • Experience supporting audit readiness and cybersecurity documentation

Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.  We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
