Due to growth in our business Transgrid is currently recruiting for a highly motivated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in our Ultimo offices. Reporting to the Corporate Cyber Security Team Lead, this position will be responsible for the coordination of tasks to reduce cyber security risks and for the management of queues that arise from cyber security review requests. The Security Analyst will have a focus on the maintenance of the security tools and procedures within TransGrid, will have a keen interest in the effective use of security tools, and a willingness to learn from existing team members. 

This role will assist the TransGrid Security Operations and Identity team in taking our Cyber Security implementation to the next level.

 

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess some or all of the following:

 

·       Tertiary qualifications at degree level in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent industry relevant experience.

·       Good interpersonal skills with the ability to explain security concepts to system users and stakeholders.

·       A minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably in the Power or an OT related environment or equivalent experience.

·       Ability to analyse security incidents and provide timely and effective response.

·       Effective verbal and written communication skills.

·       A willingness to take on low level tasks with enthusiasm and due diligence.

·       Demonstrated ability in the production of documentation using accepted standards and notations.

·       Participate in the Security/ISMS continuous Improvement program to take on and be innovative in the resolving of raised issues and treatment of root causes.

·       Proven experience as a security analyst or similar role.

·       Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.

·       Understanding of the principles underlying the operation of an ISMS and good knowledge of ISO27000 practices and controls.

·       Understanding of Risk management practices with the ability to participate in Risk assessments and maintain Risk registers.
