Senior Risk Manager

Expertise and Functions:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and controls
• Identify potential risks across the organization, including internal and external factors, and assess their likelihood and potential impact
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, including risk avoidance, transfer, reduction, and acceptance
• Monitor the effectiveness of risk management controls and procedures, and report on risk exposures and trends to senior management
• Advise leadership on risk exposures and strategic risk mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate risk management information and build consensus on risk mitigation strategies across IRES
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations
• Prepare and present risk reports to leadership
• Lead risk incident investigations and root cause analyses
• Oversee and manage the performance of risk management staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback
• Participate in program meetings to become familiar with program details, including terminology, points of view, operating constraints, issues and goals
• Facilitate program meetings as part of the Program Review Board (PRB)
• Present program information at formal reviews
• Keep program management team informed regarding current policies and policy documents

Education/Training:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical/scientific discipline required
• Relevant professional certifications (ex. CISM, CDSE, CISSP, etc.) preferred

Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in risk management
• 3+ years in a management role

Requirements

Security:

• Must be a US citizen
• Candidate must be in possession of a Secret Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
• Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
• Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
• Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000
