Responsibilities

Peraton has an immediate need for a cleared Lead Solution Architect (LSA) to support growth opportunities for the Cyber Mission Sector. This position is in Northern VA (Herndon/Reston) with the flexibility to travel to locations to support classified and non-classified solution activities.

As a Lead Solutions Architect (LSA) Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for leading the design of innovative and cost-effective mission-relevant solutions that could include systems engineering, applications, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure solutions that address the operational and technological needs of our customers while helping to grow our business. Emphasis for this position is knowledge of Federal, Intelligence Community (IC), and Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. In addition to these responsibilities, you will lead and support LSAs working on proposals, ensuring that our solutions are compelling, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements. You will collaborate closely with the Sector Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Growth Technical Lead to maintain a comprehensive understanding of corporate processes and capabilities, ensuring that our solutions leverage the full spectrum of our organization's strengths and innovations. This dual focus on proposal leadership and corporate alignment will be critical in driving successful outcomes and fostering business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams of solution professionals and technical subject matter experts in the development of integrated, cost-effective solutions for inclusion in proposal responses that meet customer requirements and maximize Peraton’s competitive advantage. Oversee the creation, documentation, and costing of technical solutions for Government client proposals.
  • Foster strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, customers, and Peraton partners, to ensure alignment on solution design, key parameters, and strategic objectives. Establish strong relationships to drive high-quality solutions and compelling value propositions.
  • Lead the technical solution development, competitive costing, and business case alignment of Peraton solutions to Government client’s proposal requirements. Work closely with Business Development, delivery accounts, and Corporate Offerings teams to determine the overall solution strategy and approach, merging industry points of view with broad technical knowledge and mission understanding to generate value propositions and approaches to solve Government customer challenges.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks throughout the solution development lifecycle, implementing robust mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure project success.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of operational environments and how to position Peraton to deliver end-to-end mission value to program sponsors. Translate the benefits of our approach to specific levels of seniority within the sponsor teams (strategic vs. tactical).
  • Translate innovation and R&D into differentiated solutions for customers working with company technology leadership.
  • Evaluate and fuse multiple inputs and synthesize a winning technical solution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by staying abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and incorporating them into solution designs to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.
  • Mentor and develop junior LSAs and technical team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, professional growth, and continuous learning within the organization.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices, particularly in areas such as cybersecurity, data protection, and government regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and technology roadmaps, aligning solution architectures with long-term business goals and customer needs.
  • Support Capture activities through engagements with government customers to shape requirements, influence acquisition strategies, and articulate Peraton’s long-term vision and mission-enabling capabilities. Serve as a thought leader and trusted advisor in shaping government IT and mission transformation initiatives.
  • Serve as a champion of Peraton’s technical vision and solution strategy for LSA’s. Evangelize architectural best practices, innovation priorities, and mission alignment for capture activities through working groups, briefings, and thought leadership contributions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of complex projects, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and collaboration across all project phases and stakeholders.
