Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator for our South Korea site. We support the "Eighth Army which is America's Pacific Guardians of Freedom". Our team supports C4I functions for the Eighth Army Headquarters and seven Major Subordinate Commands to include tactical communications for multiple theater-level exercises and training events. Eighth Army today stands ready to defend our national interests and those of our allies whenever called upon.As our Systems Administrator, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Ensure availability of technical services in a Windows based virtual environment including authentication (Domain Controller, Active Directory, Group Policy), tactical messaging (MS Exchange, Chat), and collaboration tools (MS SharePoint, conferencing, and audio/video services).
- Perform timely software deployments and updates to servers and client devices, tracking and reporting update compliance.
- Maintain system configurations and logs, manage hardware and software inventories within designated time-frames, and retain baseline copies of system configurations and updates.
- Monitor service availability and performance, promptly report outages and degradations based on system criticality, and implement backup, recovery, process automation, system upgrades, and data migrations.
- Expertise in Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu) and virtualization tools including VMware EXSi, Netapp/vSAN, and efficient update repository management for both Windows and Linux systems.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automation and scripting using Bash and PowerShell, while also leveraging Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to streamline endpoint management and configuration.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- 2 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field. Bachelor’s Degree can be waived with four (4) continuous years of experience performing Systems Administration tasks.
- Active DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification (e.g., Security X/CASP, CISSP, CCNP, Security CISA, GCED, GCIH). Subject to verification.
- Active Secret security clearance.
DESIRED:
Minimum Background Investigation complete NALC\T3 with SSBI\T5 initiated.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.EEO
