A day in the life of a Senior Database Administrators: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of database systems, ensuring security, scalability, and performance. 
This job is for you if you: If you’re a highly skilled, experienced DBA that can coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database by applying knowledge of the database management system; MS Access, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Design and Development: Designing and implementing database schemas, data models, and data dictionaries.
• Performance Optimization: Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions for improved efficiency. 
• Security and Integrity: Implementing and maintaining database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing
• Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing database backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data availability in case of failure.
• Capacity Planning: Anticipating future capacity needs and planning for scalability and resource allocation.
• Collaboration: Working with application teams, architects, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure database functionality. 
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving database issues, including errors, performance problems, and security breaches.
• Mentoring: Providing guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs

What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology
• Target Experience: (10) years’ experience administering databases

Special Qualifications:

• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III
• Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) Baseline Requirements any of the following: CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP 

Required Level of Security Clearance: Top SecretExpected Travel: 15% CONUS locations as required
