Responsibilities
What you get to do every day: The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing hardware and software across the enterprise. This role includes managing user accounts, providing excellent customer support, and ensuring all systems, networks, and applications maintain a secure lifecycle as identified in regulations, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Best Business Practices (BBPs), and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Authorizing Official’s (AO) guidance.- Perform Information Assurance (IA) services for classified systems.
- Implement and maintain system security measures in accordance with Army STIGs.
- Set up, configure, and maintain intelligence training computers, printers, scanners, and servers.
- Conduct system administration duties on classified communications equipment.
- Provide user support, including troubleshooting and account management.
- Assist with Army IA requirements and user compliance.
- Load upgrades and patches to meet security requirements.
- Continual configuration validation and monitoring of server and application performance to ensure peak performance.
- Manage configuration control and maintain documentation of system status.
- Provide technical support and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled system outages.
- Perform all customer IA support requirements to ensure secure lifecycle management.
- Apply NIST 800-37, 53, 82, 122, DoDDe 8500.1, DoDI 8510.01 (DIACAP)/DoDI 8510.10 (RMF), DLA policy, and ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI certified processes.
- Track and improve delivery of IA system administration and security policy requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, changes, and updates.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and compliance status.
- Provide training and support to users on system functionalities and security best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and security protocols to ensure optimal system performance.
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Travel to various locations as needed to provide on-site support.
- Adapt to changing performance locations and mission requirements, including 24/7 support coverage.
Qualifications
Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and CI Poly **This position is not open for any clearance upgrades or sponsorship.**
Certification Required: Security+
Education/Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's degree (or Associates degree and 7+ years of experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in classified IT services and networking
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage user accounts and provide technical support
- Knowledge of Army STIGs and IA requirements
- Familiarity with Army-specific IA requirements and procedures
- Familiarity with NIST, DoD, DLA, ISO, and CMMI processes
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Intelligence Community Experience preferred
- Experience working with Army networks and classified systems.
- Additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or similar.
- Experience with advanced system administration tools and techniques.
