Role: Security Engineer 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and anti-malware tools. 

• Perform system and network hardening to reduce vulnerabilities and enforce security best practices. 

• Develop and maintain secure infrastructure through automation tools and scripts. 

• Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security into system and application deployments. 

• Monitor and assess infrastructure for potential security risks and apply remediation measures. 

• Define and maintain secure configuration baselines for operating systems and network devices. 

• Assist in incident response and forensic investigations when required. 

• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions. 

Technical Skills Required: 

• Solid experience with network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxies). 

• Knowledge of operating system hardening (Linux, Windows). 

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet). 

• Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP security controls). 

• Understanding of secure network architecture and segmentation. 

• Scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). 

• Experience with vulnerability management tools and patching processes. 

• Knowledge of container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 

Soft Skills: 

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. 

• Strong communication and documentation abilities. 

• Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
