Job Summary:
This role within our Global infrastructure & Data Center Compute team, is key for managing the global data center environment across platforms (local, co-lo, cloud, etc.) and the support staff. The primary responsibility is to ensure availability, proper design to meet business needs, cost metrics, and expectations while maintaining secure and compliant environment. This role includes ownership of technical and managerial elements of our data centers and offshore teams for both day to day operational and project engagements related to the Data Center including (but not limited to) server hardware/OS, Active Directory, platforms such as Citrix and virtualization, DBMS such as SQL and Oracle.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The DCA will manage the Server / VMWare / AD teams / and other data center environments (such as Azure or AWS) to provide end-to-end design and solutions which enable ZimVie to leverage the technologies for supporting growth, controlling costs, and protecting our business through security tools and best practices. The right candidate will oversee the delivery of business expectation by:
- Collaborating with business functions to develop solutions, ensuring that new and existing architecture meets functional requirements and business needs.
- Ensuring that the architecture complies with the overall IT policies and strategies
- Ensuring that the architecture is consistent with and supports the productivity and financial performance objectives, projects, and daily business needs.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers and other IT functions to provide compute solutions to new challenges and resolving problems / issues as they arise.
- Ensuring the devices within the data center scope and fringes (such as UPS, AC, etc) are monitored and maintained.
- Identify areas for improvement in the data center (processes, systems, workflows, etc.) propose and drive solutions / initiatives to optimize the data center
- Lead infrastructure related projects / tasks as assigned by supervisor

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- Must have at least 10+ years of Data Center experience Designing, Implementing, Configuring, Testing, monitoring, Migrating & Securing Servers and Server Technologies
- Must have Architectural Proficiency with server High Availability and Disaster Recovery environments, integrations (acquisitions), and separations (divestitures)
- Base understanding of broad network technologies (proxies, firewalls, secure web gateways, load balancers, virtualizations, database systems (SQL/Oracle), etc.)
- To maintain Data Sovereignty compliance (GDPR)
- High proficiency with Windows Server platform
- Experience with migrations from MS platforms (old to new), across domains,
- Must have significant experience SAN / NAS storage technologies and cloud storage
- Minimum experience of 2 years managing xNIX systems
- Must have Architectural understanding on how data moves / archives / stores and protected across varied mediums and levels.
- Windows Server and Active Directory/Azure AD Experience including SSO and IAM technologies including MFA,SSO, SAML,and other secure access methods
- Must have Architectural Proficiency with integrating Microsoft and non-Microsoft systems into the environment, adding to domain, configuring/recovering services hosted on said systems.
- Must have Architectural Proficiency (Design, Build, Migrate, Monitor) with varied server technologies, including but not limited to:
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC, Certificates
- File / Printer shares
- DHCP / DNS / AD (Replication / Advanced Identity Access Management)
- Data Loss Prevention, RMS/IRM, Azure Information Protection (Classification-Labelling & Sensitive Information Types) across the environment (where applicable)
- Understand Legal/Litigation Holds, Retention, Deletion and Data Immutability
- Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection for Endpoints (Workstation and Server)
- Expert knowledge of monitoring and using automations to effectively capitalize on tools at hand
- Versed in Microsoft and non-Microsoft Email (such as SMTP), Gateway (Data gateways for SQL or PowerBI), and Database Products
Desired/Plus:
- Microsoft Azure AD Connect and Azure AD Premium (Seamless Sign On & Pass Through Authentication), Azure AD Identity Protection (Risk based Conditional Access), Conditional Access, Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (and how to Design Azure Conditional Access Custom Controls with on-premises MFA solutions), Azure Privileged Identity/Access Management (Just In Time, Just Enough Administration, Admin/User Access Reviews)
- Network / Fiber storage setups and config
- Security / Project Management experience with certifications
- Cloud platform experience (Azure and/AWS)
- Non-MS SSO application experience (i.e. Okta,1Identity,etc)
- Powershell and other script language experience.
Travel Requirements
Must be able to travel internationally as needed
