Job Description:

What will you do?

• Perform frontline for monitoring of control practices across DBTS with continual improvement initiatives leveraging automation to maintain the highest level of data quality 
• Identification and monitoring of Regulatory Compliance Management requirements within the organization
• Support the identification, review, update and roll out of a wide range of IT and Cyber risk and compliance strategies, policies, objectives, awareness, training, and programs to provide effective governance across Digital Business & Technology Solutions
• Assess the effectiveness of our Control Governance Framework to safeguard assets, ensure data integrity, and mitigate risks, and interacting with owners & contacts to keep it current
• Generate reports and analyses from various data sets to communicate key GRC metrics, controls & remediation efforts
• Cross-functional collaboration; supporting Compliance Control Governance and Audit Management & broader GRC practices as required
• Provide training and awareness about GRC, and promoting culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization

What will you need to succeed?

• A post secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
• Relevant IT / best practice certifications ( ITIL, Risk, GRC, Audit, Privacy etc.) an asset
• Familiarity with Sun Life Financial Risk Management Framework and Policy Framework an asset
• Competencies on GRC Tools such as such as Archer, Service Now would be an additional asset
• Progressive experience in analysis and / support of regulatory change and governance for IT and integrated risk and compliance practices and Cyber Security requirements, preferably in the financial services industry
• Support of complex governance frameworks for risk management, control frameworks, compliance or a similar discipline preferably in the financial services industry
• Hands on audit, governance, risk management and integrated GRC practice experience

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
