The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program providing Networking and Tier 3 support to the DHS Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) biometric system. This role involves providing ongoing cloud network support, addressing availability issues, overcoming network performance problems, and supporting system incident troubleshooting. The position requires close interaction with government customers and involves being on-call approximately 4-6 weeks per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, maintain and coordinate network systems in an AWS environment

  • Evaluate hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks

  • Provide system data to detect, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues

  • Manage network performance and ensure SLA requirements are met

  • Provide network engineering expertise to resolve operational issues

  • Report on network performance and improvement plans

  • Manage user accounts and train users

  • Maintain and update network diagrams and security plans

  • Implement network policies, procedures, and standards

  • Support deployment of new technologies

  • Develop and enforce network technology policies

  • Support active directory/LDAP, certificate services, and security compliance

  • Work independently and in teams to achieve project objectives

  • Provide on-call support for 4-6 weeks per year


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency level clearance (DHS EOD)

  • 5 years of relevant Information Technology Experience

  • Experience deploying and managing cloud-based network services and monitoring tools

  • Experience with AWS or AWS GovCloud

  • Solid knowledge of RHEL, Windows, Openshift/Kubernetes & other open-source technologies

  • AWS GovCloud (AWS Console), RedHat OpenShift, Ansible and Docker containers, Aurora AWS (PostgreSQL) database, Gitlab and Jenkins pipeline, CyberArk, Splunk


Desired:

  • Experience with transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6

  • Experience with Cisco and Juniper products, Linux, scripting, VMware, and OpenShift

  • Network & Security Certifications (e.g. Network+, Security+, SSCP, GSEC, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, CISSP, AWS certifications)

  • Experience with JIRA Ticketing systems

  • Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies

  • Experience with RedHat OpenShift

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
