We're seeking someone to join our team as a System Administrator Specialist to manage, configure, and ensure the reliability for SaaS applications and hardware, with performance and security of firm IT infrastructure. This will include automation, compute, networks, operating systems and virtualization.

This is a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering III position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing technical infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Ensure the reliable, efficient operation of production data centre infrastructure and services, meeting 24x7x365 uptime requirement.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain data centre infrastructure including Compute, Storage and Network.

  • Network strategic design, discovery, and documentation, including logical and physical diagrams.

  • Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of Local Area Networks (LAN) / Wide Area Network (WAN) services per established procedures.

  • Partner with development and web operations teams to meet organizational goals, identify solutions to problems and proactively seek improvements in reliability and the performance of systems.

  • Identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and responsiveness, make recommendations and assist with implementing efficiencies.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 5+ years of increasingly responsible IT Infrastructure administration in data centre/SaaS architectures within a DevOps/Agile framework.

  • A strong background in enterprise class network administration with experience in Juniper, Cisco and Palo Alto routing and switching technologies.

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience administering datacenter infrastructure and complex cross-functional and cross- organizational projects for mid to large-scale technology companies.

  • Experience recommending new enterprise class technologies and processes that will improve overall customer service, reduce operating costs and/or provide a competitive advantage.

  • In-depth and highly technical understanding of and administration experience for all major functional areas of IT (networking, compute and storage).

  • Linux Systems Administration (Red Hat).

  • Experience with VMware Virtualization technologies (vSphere, Operations Manager, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, etc).

  • Firewall and VPN design and implementation (eg: Juniper SRX).

  • Experience in data storage solutions administration.

  • 5+ years of Enterprise Security/ Information Security Administration and Management (Cyber Defense, Penetration Testing, Digital Forensic and Incident Response, etc).

  • Microsoft Windows Server Administration (Windows Server 2008/2012/2016).

  • Collaboration services such as Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft CRM. 

  • Experience with VLANs, BGP, and OSPF.

  • Experience with RAID solutions, 3rd party file systems, experience designing distributed file system architectures (NFS, AFS, DFS, etc).

  • Knowledge of fiber-channel storage arrays, hosts, switches, software, and storage networking infrastructure.

  • Application and process automation experience utilizing Ansible/Terraform with HCL to automate common functions.
