Operating successfully in Green River, Wyoming, Genesis Alkali is the world’s largest natural soda ash mine and production site, offering a secure, reliable, and diverse range of high-quality product choices. Genesis Alkali mines and processes trona ore and manufactures soda ash that is used in the production of glass, detergents, chemical manufacturing, pulp and paper production, and water treatment. In addition, the company also produces sodium bicarbonate and other chemical compounds used in common industrial, agricultural, and household applications.

Position Title: Information Technology Security Analyst
Location: Green River, WY
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking equipment (switches, firewalls, wireless).
• Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Maintain secure network architecture and segmentation.
• Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain Information Security Management Systems aligned with ISO 27001 standards
Activities:
Engineering and Provisioning:
• Conduct regular security assessments and network audits.
• Configure and monitor Firewalls, VPNs, and switches.
• Review network logs and SIEM alerts for suspicious activity.
• Apply security patches and updates to network devices and systems.
• Perform network traffic analysis and packet inspection.
Operations and Support:
• Monitor system performance and security, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
• Maintain systems based on best practices and operational needs.
• Maintain Infrastructure system backups
• Participate in infrastructure support and on call rotation.
• Maintain security camera system
• Support post-acquisition integration efforts following the company’s recent acquisition, focusing on the assessment, alignment, and transition of network and security services to meet the parent organization's standards and compliance requirements.
Maintenance:
• Document and maintain operations, configurations, and procedures.
• Monitor systems to ensure appropriate uptime.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements:
Required Skills, Capabilities, and Educational Requirements:
• 5 years of network administration and cybersecurity in enterprise environments.
• Proficient with command-line interface (CLI).
• Strong understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Deep knowledge of networking technologies (e.g., routing protocols, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, VPN
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with critical thinking skills. Ability to problem solve and communicate findings to colleagues and management.
• High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Educational Requirements:
• Experience implementing security measures across IT systems, including access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco FTD, FMC, WLC, ISE, AnyConnect VPN, DUO, Microsoft SCCM, Commvault, Dragos.
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Bachelor’s Degree
