As our Manager Internal Audit – Risk Consulting practice, you’ll play a crucial role in managing internal audit engagements to ensure the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This role is based in Wellington, New Zealand.
- Manage internal audit engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting. Engage with clients and manage client relationships effectively
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and relevant regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior team members delivering Internal Audit, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
This is an onsite position based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington). Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or a related field, with strong analytical abilities and effective problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities are essential.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams.
- Professional services experience or experience in working with a large complex multi-facet organisation desired. Ability to manage budgets and oversee the team delivering Internal Audit.
Ideally, we may prioritize candidates with the following, but don’t worry if you don’t meet every criterion. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- New Zealand working Citizens, Permanent Residents
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree qualification.
- Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP, CPA, CISA, CA).
