Finary is a hybrid remote company. Our talented team is currently based in France and across Europe. Our office is located in the heart of Paris, and we organize on-site every 6 weeks.

Engineering at Finary

At Finary, we live and breathe Product and Engineering. Our mantra: shipping the minimum lovable product. We build delightful experiences that significantly improve the financial well-being of our users while moving at high speed.

For that, we break complex problems down into small items, ship and iterate constantly. Our community loves that and provides us with valuable feedback as we polish Finary.

About the role

As our first Head of Security, you will own and shape the entire security strategy at Finary. Reporting to the VP of Engineering (Bertrand Lehurt), you'll define and execute our security roadmap, lead initiatives to protect our infrastructure and data, and partner with the compliance team to support regulatory needs. From evaluating and implementing modern security tooling to setting up scalable policies and procedures, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of security in a high-growth, cloud-native fintech environment.

This is a hybrid position based in Paris, with flexibility for remote work.

You’d be a great fit if you:

• Have 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong track record in ownership roles

• Have deep knowledge of cloud security, especially within GCP environments

• Have a solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

• Are proficient in deploying and managing modern security solutions and processes

• Know how to work cross-functionally, especially with compliance and engineering teams

• Are comfortable making strategic decisions while still being hands-on

• Can assess risks pragmatically and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact B2C startup environment

• You are a French speaker (because you need to discuss with French regulation authorities)

Bonus points if you:

• Have experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other security compliance frameworks

• Have previously worked in a fintech or other regulated industry

• Have experience with Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Aikido, or Push Security

• Have experience scaling security practices from 0 → 1 in a high-growth company
