Job Description
Under limited or no supervision, gathers and analyzes security needs for developing security requirements in the healthcare environment. Provide ongoing security administration support, write documentation and define Security Operations requirements. Analyze metrics generated by security tools , propose solutions and/or recommendations in addition to modifying security applications and toolsets. Represent IT Security during planning and delivering of projects and initiatives.
- Monitor and tune alerts from SIEM and events from security monitoring tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve incident response procedures
- Administer IT Security tools and adjust controls to match cyber-attack patterns.
- Support Security Operation analysts during security investigations and forensic analysis.
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security concerns.
- Write Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and participate in the improvement of existing workflows.
- Work closely with Security Analysts and ensure efficiency of controls.
- Follow up with ongoing Security administration tasks and related projects.
- Provide 24/7 support through an on-call scheduling rotation.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, a health, science, or business field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Required at least one industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CSSLP, CHFI, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, ITIL v3.
- Five (5) years in information system engineering or administration plus 3 years of IT security experience required.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Compensation
- Pay Range: $54.42-$81.64
