As we continue to grow, we are now looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team.
As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), while also maintaining our on-prem Game Build server Infrastructure using Jenkins and GitLab. Your role will involve overseeing network routing, troubleshooting network issues, and managing security protocols including user access, data encryption, and incident response. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the development team to enhance the development, deployment, and ongoing operation of data-intensive projects that have a direct impact on Kwalee’s products.
This is a permanent role based in our Leamington spa studio, where our daily in-office collaboration fuels creativity and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Automate tasks and monitor systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, Data, Game Development, and Publishing teams to ensure top performance.
• Implement automation processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Optimise system processes and pipelines with a focus on high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Ensure smooth and stable operation of applications and services.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring high availability of business-critical services.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams.
• Monitor the performance of APIs, web services, and websites.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in the DevOps/DevSecOps field.
• Report relevant updates and issues to the DevSecOps Manager.
• Adhere to the company’s procedures, processes, strategies, and standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in DevOps or DevSecOps roles.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Proficiency with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Solid experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with infrastructure management and cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Proactive attitude towards identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to report effectively to leadership.
• Based in our Leamington Spa office with 5 days per week on-site.
