Security Analyst

FloSports is a world-class sports media company strategically positioned to be the essential  destination for passionate sports fans, delighting them with live event coverage, breaking news,  highlights, stats, rankings, and team and player profiles. We are growing Our Sports every day  by continuing to invest in our ever-expanding ecosystem, which consists of over a dozen sport  verticals and hundreds of streaming partners. FloSports is creating the home for college  conferences/leagues and sports like grappling, hockey, track & field, racing, cheer, wrestling,  and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us! 

THE ROLE: 

We’re seeking a Security Analyst to lead and enhance FloSports’ cybersecurity initiatives. You’ll play a critical role in monitoring systems, mitigating threats, guiding best practices, and enabling our team to operate securely and confidently.

This position is based in Austin, TX and requires a minimum of four days per week in our office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Continuously monitor, analyze, and enhance FloSports’ cybersecurity posture across networks and systems

• Proactively detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents and threats

• Perform regular vulnerability scans, audits, and risk assessments

• Improve and maintain security policies, standards, and documentation

• Configure, manage, and improve security tools including SIEM, IDS, antivirus, and web/email filtering

• Partner with engineering and IT teams to implement secure configurations and hardening practices

• Deliver cybersecurity awareness training and support to employees

• Maintain endpoint protection standards for MacOS and Windows environments

• Analyze logs and system activity for anomalies; respond as appropriate

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field

• Knowledge of AV/EDR, Firewalls, SIEM tools, penetration testing, and application security

• Strong understanding of both MacOS and Windows systems administration

• Solid grasp of risk management, compliance frameworks, and investigative practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and cross-functionally

• Clear, proactive communicator with the ability to document and present findings

BONUS POINTS: 

• Relevant certifications: CISSP, GIAC, CISM, or Security+

• Experience with security platforms such as Kaseya 365, RocketCyber, Intune, or Okta

• Familiarity with identity and access management, Zero Trust architectures, and threat intelligence platforms
