Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As a QA Engineer, you'll be immersed in a challenging project, promoting good development practices, and establishing an engineering culture as part a team focus on vulnerability management and engineering. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. Continuous Security Assurance (CSA) Engineering team owns and develops applications and tools for vulnerability management, penetration testing, and Red Teaming.
In your role, you will…
- Design and implement test cases and test suites to ensure that our solutions and integrations meet high expectations for reliability and availability
- Conduct functional, performance, and security testing, and analyse the results to identify issues and recommend improvements
- Work with developers and DevOps engineers to ensure that security is integrated into the development process from the beginning
- Provide feedback to developers on issues and work with them to resolve them in a timely manner
- Participate in code reviews and security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
- Contribute to technical documentation and CICD processes in particular, testing and validation processes.
- Contribute to User Story Definition and their validations
- Have a chance to learn more about information security, vulnerability management, and Identity & Access Management
Your qualifications

What we need from you
- Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of vulnerability management as an enabler of business performance.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience as a QA Engineer or similar role.
- 3+ Experience on Python programming language.
- Experience with testing RESTful based applications, cloud technologies, containers, and databases.
- Able to work independently in defining test cases and documenting results, championing the test strategy within the software development team.
- Experience with agile development and DevOps methodologies.
- Some experience in business analysis and requirements gathering.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English.
Nice-to-have
- A degree in Computer Science or comparable knowledge.
- Understanding of technologies related to information security, vulnerability management.
- Experience on testing application performance and usability requirements.
- Experience on automate Python behave/integration Test.
- Experience with Front Test automation tools and technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with diverse IT technologies.
- Experience with security-related tools such as vulnerability scanners or intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Experience working with integration testing, mainly around parsing of data from external sources.
- Some experience on #NET programming language.

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 60.000] and [EUR 100.000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
