Role
As an IT Solutions Architect at Clarity, you will serve as a strategic technical leader within the IT organization. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will provide architectural guidance across infrastructure, platforms, operations, and tooling. You will help align efforts across verticals, promote scalable solutions, and serve as a bridge between IT and various engineering teams and practices.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership
- Define and communicate scalable, reliable, and secure technical approaches across IT systems and services.
- Assist in evaluating trade-offs, risk, and implementation paths for infrastructure and operational improvements.
- Provide architecture input into solution design, planning, and execution efforts across IT projects.

Cross-Functional Support
- Serve as a technical advisor to the Director of IT and contribute to strategic planning and priority setting.
- Collaborate with internal engineering groups and stakeholders to ensure IT systems and services meet long-term scalability and operational needs.
- Represent IT’s perspective in cross-functional initiatives, helping to shape end-to-end solutions.

Standards & Guidance
- Develop and promote best practices, design patterns, and operational guidelines across the IT team.
- Review proposed implementations for alignment with technical direction, quality, and performance standards.
- Help evaluate new technologies, vendors, and frameworks to support organizational growth.

Mentorship & Influence
- Provide mentorship and guidance to technical leads and engineers across IT.
- Support a collaborative, solution-oriented environment that prioritizes reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Help elevate the technical bar and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT, DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud operations roles, including recent experience in an architectural or staff-level engineering role.
- Deep understanding of system design, technical trade-offs, and operational scaling.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across technical and leadership audiences.
- Experience aligning architecture with business goals in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, automation, and modern infrastructure practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF) or equivalent experience.
- Exposure to multiple engineering domains or enterprise environments with compliance or scale requirements.
- Familiarity with technical planning, documentation, and stakeholder communication at a strategic level.
