Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developed and Implemented Data Privacy Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data privacy strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Stay abreast of evolving privacy laws and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance.
  1. Compliance Management:
  • Monitor, interpret, and ensure adherence to data protection laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks.
  1. Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Create and enforce data privacy policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to update policies based on changes in regulations.
  1. Educational Initiatives:
  • Provide ongoing privacy training to employees at all levels to enhance awareness and understanding.
  • Foster a privacy-aware culture through communication and training programs.
  1. Incident Response:
  • Develop and maintain an effective incident response plan for data breaches or privacy incidents.
  • Lead investigations, coordinate responses, and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT, legal, compliance, and other departments to integrate privacy considerations into business processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure third-party data processing aligns with privacy standards.
  1. Privacy by Design:
  • Promote and facilitate the incorporation of privacy principles into the development of new products, services, and systems.
  1. Audit and Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular privacy audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement monitoring mechanisms to track and report on privacy-related metrics.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field (e.g., law, information security, or privacy).
  • Professional certification in privacy (e.g., CIPP) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in a senior data privacy or compliance role, preferably in a complex organizational setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations.

•           Ability to balance business objectives with privacy requirements.

•           Proficient in collaborating across diverse teams, Businesses and functions.
