- Developed and Implemented Data Privacy Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data privacy strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Stay abreast of evolving privacy laws and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance.
- Compliance Management:
- Monitor, interpret, and ensure adherence to data protection laws, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks.
- Policy Development and Implementation:
- Create and enforce data privacy policies and procedures across the organization.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to update policies based on changes in regulations.
- Educational Initiatives:
- Provide ongoing privacy training to employees at all levels to enhance awareness and understanding.
- Foster a privacy-aware culture through communication and training programs.
- Develop and maintain an effective incident response plan for data breaches or privacy incidents.
- Lead investigations, coordinate responses, and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, legal, compliance, and other departments to integrate privacy considerations into business processes and systems.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure third-party data processing aligns with privacy standards.
- Privacy by Design:
- Promote and facilitate the incorporation of privacy principles into the development of new products, services, and systems.
- Audit and Monitoring:
- Conduct regular privacy audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement monitoring mechanisms to track and report on privacy-related metrics.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field (e.g., law, information security, or privacy).
- Professional certification in privacy (e.g., CIPP) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior data privacy or compliance role, preferably in a complex organizational setting.
- In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations.
