Infrastructure Security Engineer - HSM & PKI

Help AG is looking for a Senior Security Engineer - HSM & PKI to lead the management and integration of secure key management systems and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services. This role focuses on maintaining high-security standards using Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), PKI platforms such as DigiCert ONE, and Linux-based server environments.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Integrate and manage Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for secure key storage and encryption operations.

• Operate and maintain PKI and Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, preferably DigiCert ONE.

• Administer Linux servers, ensuring stability, patching, performance, and automation via scripting tools like Bash or Python.

• Perform regular system upgrades, apply patches, and maintain thorough documentation of changes.

• Provide timely support for infrastructure incidents and service requests.

• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and optimal performance of core systems in accordance with enterprise standards.
  

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or security engineering roles.

• Strong proficiency in Linux administration, scripting, and automation.

• Hands-on experience with PKI systems and CLM platforms, with preference for DigiCert ONE.

• Proven expertise with Thales HSMs or similar enterprise-grade key management systems.

• Relevant certifications in PKI, HSM, or information security technologies (e.g., DigiCert Certified Specialist, Thales HSM certification, CompTIA Security+, etc.).
