About the Role:

Reporting to the VP Product Marketing & GTM Strategy, Axonius is looking for a Senior Director of Brand, Content & Communications to establish and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance Axonius’ brand visibility and position within the cybersecurity industry. You are a strategic leader responsible for building and executing a marketing plan that drives brand visibility, thought leadership and ultimately, business growth within the cybersecurity industry. This role ensures the company's brand identity and messaging are consistent across all channels and that marketing efforts effectively reach and engage the target audience. You will also oversee team management, including hiring, coaching and developing global marketing professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership & Planning:
    • Develop and oversee the execution of marketing plans, including setting priorities, measurable objectives, and strategies. 
    • Define the company’s target audience, identifying key messaging and outline the channels to reach them.  
  • Drive Brand Awareness and Thought Leadership:
    • Define and maintain the company's brand strategy, architecture, and positioning. 
    • Create content, engage in public relations, and participate in industry events to establish Axonius as a leader in cybersecurity. 
  • Manage and Optimize Marketing Campaigns:
    • Oversee digital marketing, email marketing, social media and content marketing efforts. 
  • Monitor and Analyze Marketing Performance:
    • Track and analyze key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, making data-driven decisions. 
  • Performance Measurement:
    • Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives. 
    • Build and Lead High-Performing Global Marketing Teams: Hiring, training, mentoring and motivating global marketing professionals. 
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the marketing budget, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Stakeholder Relations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and media.
  • Oversee Global Event Strategy & Execution:
    • Planning and executing conferences, industry events and internal events. 
  • Manage Corporate Communications:
    • Develop messaging for executive communications, PR and other internal and external communications.
  • Lead Brand Building Efforts:
    • Develop and ensure consistent branding, messaging and positioning across all marketing channels.

Requirements:

  • 10+ yrs experience in marketing, with a strong focus on cybersecurity or B2B technology.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing global teams, setting strategies and driving results.
  • Ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that align with business objectives. 
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate marketing goals and strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to track and analyze key performance indicators and make data-driven decisions to improve marketing effectiveness. 
  • Familiarity with various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and traditional media. 
  • Strong understanding of brand management, branding and marketing principles.
  • In-depth experience of the cybersecurity industry, including security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices. 
  • Ability to build strong relations, collaborate effectively, and influence key stakeholders.
  • Experience with marketing tools, CRM systems and digital marketing platforms. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.

Axonius is committed to fair and equitable compensation packages. A candidate’s salary will be based on qualifications and relevant experience. In addition to a competitive salary, our packages include stock options, attractive benefits, and an annual bonus.

Annual Salary Range (does not include bonus or equity)$225,000—$265,000 USD
