The Role
As an Senior Resiliency Consultant , your primary responsibility will be designing resiliency solutions and providing advisory services to Australian and NZ clients, guiding them in managing their operational resiliency posture and ensuring compliance with regulations such as the APRA CPS230/234, SOCI, Essential 8 and Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) guidelines, and NIST frameworks. You will perform BIA and risk assessments, evaluate existing resiliency strategies, and assist in designing and implementing effective data protection and recovery solutions. In this role, you will also assist clients in meeting their compliance requirements and help develop and refine their disaster recovery (DR) and Cyber incident response plans. You will work closely with executive teams to develop resiliency strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business-critical data.
You need to collaborate with various engineers, technical experts, architects, and infrastructure teams, demonstrating a strong level of expertise in system architecture, as well as good knowledge of multiple platforms and cloud technologies, networking, IT risk management, and business resiliency.

Required Skills
- Expertise in Australian regulatory frameworks such as APRA CPS230/234, SOCI, Essential 8 and the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) guidelines.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise applications, Servers, storage systems, Networking, Databases, Cloud, etc.
- Evaluate existing systems and infrastructure to identify areas of threat.
- Design backup and disaster recovery solutions that encompass applications, data, infrastructure, and security considerations to ensure comprehensive protection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical specifications and architectural designs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the client’s resiliency teams during workshops.
- Knowledge and understanding of On-premises and cloud-based architectures.
- Should be able to interpret the existing Architecture, underlying components to validate, challenge and help the team to define the detailed scenarios and the recovery solutions.
- Knowledge of developing and executing the Disaster Recovery plan.
- Experience with working and consulting on Enterprise architecture, Layered Architecture.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Capable to run workshops/meetings to steer towards intended output.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Should be able to interpret the existing architecture, underlying components to validate, challenge and help the team to define the detailed scenarios and the recovery solutions.
- Expertise in conducting IT-resiliency assessments and audits in accordance with local regulatory requirements and frameworks.
- Write high-quality assessment reports from the consulting engagements as a client deliverable.
- Work with different teams, leading resilience workshops and document risk reports and IT assessment worksheets related to cyber resilience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating documentation, presenting findings, and advising clients at the C-suite level.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, especially when liaising with senior management and government entities in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Required Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of experience as an IT Resiliency architect or similar role in Australia, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
- Proficiency in system design principles, including scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery and cyber recovery principles in on-prem and cloud.
- Experience in delivering resiliency consulting projects and have delivered resiliency maturity recommendations.
- Experience in designing enterprise backup platforms for on-premises and cloud workloads.
- Experience in designing cyber recovery solutions and concepts of vaulting and clean rooms.
- Performed the testing of the business continuity and DR plans to meet recovery SLAs.
- Ability to design cloud native backup and DR solutions in AWS and Azure.
- Proven experience in advising Australian enterprises, government agencies, or large-scale private sector organisations.
- A strong track record of managing complex, enterprise-level IT-resiliency and business continuity projects within Australia and New Zealand.
- Experience in leading consult-led initiatives and working in a consultancy environment.
- Certifications like CBCP, backup solutions and hyper-scalers are highly desirable.
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain AGSVA security clearance.
