We’re looking for a cyber risk expert for a new permanent opportunity, you’ll lead security risk assessments, identify and mitigate threats, and provide trusted advice across the business. Your expertise will help safeguard critical infrastructure and support a strong, secure future for Western Australia.
Your Role in Action
- Lead the charge on managing cyber security risk and shaping functional-level strategy across the organisation.
- Build awareness and uplift cyber risk capability by embedding clear, practical risk management practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure frameworks and registers are defined, maintained, and actionable.
- Review and strengthen our cyber security risk register – making it meaningful, accurate, and fit for purpose.
- Drive continuous improvement in how we document and report OT and ICT risks across the business.
- Provide regular insights and reporting to the Cyber Security Manager to inform decision-making.
- Partner with projects and teams to improve risk processes and educate on effective cyber risk practices.
- Be a trusted advisor – offering expert guidance on emerging threats, mitigations, and stakeholder accountability.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Strong background in risk management with a passion for protecting critical systems.
- Experience in cyber security, risk, or business continuity – you know how to spot and manage threats.
- Skilled in using and shaping risk frameworks, with hands-on knowledge of GRC tools.
- Confident communicator who can influence and guide others toward smart, balanced risk decisions.
- Sharp analytical thinker – you gather insights and turn them into practical, risk-aware outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security, Risk Management, or a related field are highly regarded.
