Senior Engineer - Cybersecurity

This role works more independently and has built technical skills through experience and learning.

· They will be responsible for execution of a complete task or multiple tasks within a project. They will work with junior staff to accomplish objectives.

· This role will require less supervision but will require guidance from time to time. When successful, this individual will take ownership of a particular task and collaborate well with others to realize the expected outcome.

General Skills:

· 3 – 5 Years of cybersecurity engineering experience

· Advanced knowledge of security protocols (SSL/TLS, EMV). Proficiency in implementing secure authentication methods.

· Familiarity with securing APIs used in financial applications.

· Knowledge of web application security and secure coding.

. Ansible Playbooks Mastering YAML-based playbooks for automation and configuration management.

. Understanding of YAML syntax and Jinja2 for dynamic content generation.

. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Managing infrastructure through code rather than manual processes.

. Version Control (Git) Using Git for tracking changes, collaboration, and managing Ansible playbooks.

. System Administration & Networking Knowledge of Linux administration, networking concepts, and security automation.

. Configuration Management & Orchestration Automating deployments, provisioning, and system configurations

· Experience with conducting vulnerability assessments for on-prem and cloud platforms.

· Cloud security fundamentals relevant to AWS and Azure.

· Scripting skills for task automation (Python, Bash).

.Certificate Management Handling the lifecycle of digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, and revocation.

.Cryptography  Understanding encryption algorithms, key management, and security protocols.

.PKI Infrastructure Managing certificate authorities (CAs), registration authorities (RAs), and hardware security modules (HSMs).

.Identity & Access Management (IAM) –Implementing authentication mechanisms like smart cards, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and digital signatures.

.Networking & Security Configuring TLS/SSL certificates, securing communications, and troubleshooting PKI-related network issues.

· BS degree in a computer related field
