Make an impact with our Managed Services Security team as a Senior Manager, leading the Network & Security Operations Centre. This full-time, in-office leadership role oversees MNP Digital’s 24x7x365 integrated operations, unifying the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Operations Center (NOC). The position is responsible for strategic direction, operational excellence, and team leadership across Canadian and Indian locations. Key duties include managing MXDR services (Microsoft Sentinel/Defender), infrastructure and Azure cloud operations, driving SOC/NOC integration, ensuring SLA/KPI achievement, optimizing resources, and fostering collaboration. The role also involves vendor management (e.g., Microsoft, ConnectWise, Veeam), process improvement (ITIL), and talent development to deliver exceptional value to MNPs Clients.
This opportunity is an on-site position based at either our Montreal, Edmonton or GTA office.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership and execute the vision for the integrated Network & Security Operations Centre, aligning operations with MNP Digital's overall business objectives.
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of both the SOC (MXDR) and NOC (Infrastructure, Cloud & Backup Management) functions, ensuring service delivery excellence across a 24x7x365 follow-the-sun model.
- Develop, monitor, and ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all NOC and SOC services.
- Implement tools, automation, and dashboards for improved visibility and efficiency.
- Contribute to the execution of the operational budget, including staffing, technology, facilities, and training expenditures, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Lead all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, career development, and retention strategies for teams in both Canada and India.
- Actively foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and integration between the SOC and NOC teams and between the Canadian and Indian operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes, tools (including ConnectWise Automate, Sentinel, backup platforms), and workflows, leveraging ITIL principles and operational metrics.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust operational procedures, documentation, and knowledge management systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major operational escalations and technical client relationship management related to NOC/SOC services.
- Participate in relationships management with key technology vendors, including Microsoft, ConnectWise, backup solution providers (e.g., Veeam), and other tool providers, ensuring maximum value and effective support.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, data protection regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, strategic updates, and budget reviews to MNP Digital senior leadership.
- Champion a client-centric approach, ensuring the operations centre consistently delivers knowledge, expertise, and effective guidance.
Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in IT and Security Operations, with 3–5 years in a leadership role managing 24x7 technical teams, including offshore/remote teams.
- Proven ability to lead in high-pressure environments, with strong decision-making, people management, and strategic planning skills.
- Experienced in budget oversight, resource allocation, and vendor relationship management.
- Broad knowledge of cybersecurity (SOC/MXDR, SIEM/SOAR, EDR/XDR – Microsoft Sentinel/Defender) and IT infrastructure (NOC operations, networking, servers, firewalls – Fortinet/Cisco, backup – Veeam, virtualization, proactive monitoring – ConnectWise Automate).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and ITSM platforms (ConnectWise Manage preferred).
- Familiar with security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001) and compliance standards.
- Skilled in process development and continuous improvement, with experience applying ITIL best practices.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to engage effectively across technical teams, clients, and senior leadership.
- Strong client relationship management and presentation skills.
- CISSP, CISM, ITIL Foundation (or higher), PMP
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Security Operations Analyst)
- VMCE or other backup/networking-related certifications
- Bilingual proficiency (French/English) is an asset
