In this position...  

As a Cyber Security Software Buyer at Ford Motor Company, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, procuring, and managing cyber security software solutions that enhance and protect our digital infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security operations, and legal departments, ensuring that our cyber security software meets the highest standards of protection and compliance

What you'll do…

  • Drive the on-time sourcing of cyber security software solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with industry standards.
  • Negotiate key contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms for cyber security software across all Ford business units.
  • Develop and lead the implementation of global category strategies for cyber security software, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise goals.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships within various internal business units to drive strategic alignment and savings opportunities.
  • Support supply base optimization, leveraging enterprise spend to enhance strategic priorities and improve supplier performance.
  • Be a forward-thinking leader, continuously seeking efficiencies, cost savings, and opportunities for spend reduction while maintaining industry best practices.

You'll have... 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, or Related Field (minimum)
  • 5+ years of supply chain/commodity/program management experience (minimum)
  • Strong communicator that can effectively transition from bottom-up details to concise, clear executive-level messaging.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking to develop effective and organized program reviews on weekly basis.
  • Ability to build relationships and trust across organizations to drive decisions and alignment.
  • Strong data & analytics understanding for synthesis of complex data into clear, understandable format.
  • Strong understanding of Information Technology offerings e.g., Hardware, Software, Software Development and Services.
  • Strong knowledge across complex sourcing processes.
  • Proactive and resourceful; comfortable with navigating ambiguity. 
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative leader and team player.

You'll have... 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's Degree (preferred) 
  • 8+ years of supply chain/program/commodity management experience in the Automotive industry (preferred)

This position is a salary grade 7 - 8.
