Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Electronics Engineer – Computer System Architect to join our team in Melbourne, FL.
This position will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working closely with other engineers and technicians in a lab-like environment to integrate, test, and troubleshoot software/hardware systems in complex IT systems.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
Design, configure, document and maintain infrastructure, applications, and/or cloud resources necessary to reliably host, run, and support applications through all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues and support incidents response as needed.
Supporting a program where application of extensive technical expertise will be required to support a developing system.
Engineer and test new technical solutions in lab environments, technical requirements and/or bug fixes.
Support the IPT with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts.
Develop and maintain Microsoft PowerShell scripts, Bash and Python scripts, and Microsoft Group Policies.
Work with storage systems and basic networking, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, and Active Directory.
Script deployments of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
Maintain COTS Hardware, Software configuration matrix, technical installation, configuration and update procedures.
Develop and maintain network infrastructure diagrams for both lab and site installations.
Release CM controlled documentation, scripts, and COTS software media.
Implement engineering changes to the system as required while maintain compatibility with existing architectures when implementing system enhancements.
Design and implement VMware high-availability virtualized infrastructures.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related engineering experience.
Demonstrated experience with Windows operating systems.
Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure.
Active DoD 8140-approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification. Examples include: CCNA Security, Security+ce, CCNP, and CISSP.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with building lab environments from ground up.
Expert as a solutions, software, or enterprise architect role.
Experience in technical judgment with significant impact to program success.
Demonstrated experience in IT disciplines, some of which should be in a lead role.

Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
