Thomson Reuters empowers professionals with cutting-edge technology solutions informed by industry-leading content and expertise.The Thomson Reuters Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Security Engineer to join our growing Product Security & Security Engineering organization. This role is crucial in advancing our multi-cloud network security initiatives, with a focus on delivering automation for the efficient deployment and adoption of network & application security controls across our multi-cloud estate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and automation.
About the Role:
- Design & implement automation to facilitate the deployment and adoption of cloud-native network security controls, such as Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
- Develop automated processes for log analysis, recommendations, and reporting to facilitate application team adoption of cloud-native WAF technologies.
- Collaborate across Product Security, Security Architecture, and Cloud Landing Zone teams to implement automation to continuously validate efficacy & coverage of security controls.
- Build, maintain, and optimize deployment pipelines for cloud infrastructure.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 6+ years of relevant professional cloud security or cloud engineering experience.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash) for developing automation tooling.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, such as Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other Cloud Service Providers such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Experience with cloud-native native WAF solutions (e.g. AWS WAF) and analyzing their findings.
- Hands on experience with analyzing log data using observability tools such as Datadog or Splunk.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and practices.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
