We are seeking a Infrastructure Engineer II to serve as a pivotal contributor within our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). In this critical role, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, prioritizing, and remediating security vulnerabilities across our diverse technology stack. Including on-premise systems, cloud environments, network devices, VMware, and firewalls. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including security analysts, IT operations, development teams, and third-party vendors to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of security best practices, risk assessment methodologies, patch management processes and be proficient in using vulnerability management tools. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding our organization’s systems and data against evolving cyber threats.

Responsibilities
• Apply security patches, configuration changes, and other hardening measures to servers, network devices, and applications according to security team guidelines.
• Execute remediation tasks with precision and attention to detail to minimize disruption.
• Test and verify the successful implementation of remediation efforts, reporting results accurately. Document all remediation activities clearly and comprehensively.
• Collaborate effectively with the security team to provide updates and address any challenges during the remediation process.
• Implement detailed remediation plans and instructions provided by the security team.

 

Salary Range: $110,000-$150,000

  • Vulnerability Management Lifecycle: A deep understanding of the entire vulnerability management process, including identification, assessment, prioritization, remediation, and validation.
  • Familiarity with a diverse range of solutions to include on-premise systems, cloud environments, network devices, VMware, and firewalls.
  • Ability to work effectively with various teams and individually.
  • Proactiveness and continuous learning: A genuine interest in technology, a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues, and a commitment to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
  • Provide limited support for system-related issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate teams.
