Compliance Assistant (Remote)

We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Compliance Assistant to help support our growing security and privacy programs at CAKE.com.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our systems and documentation audit-ready, coordinating check-ins through tools like Vanta, drafting basic security policies, and supporting compliance initiatives across our global productivity products like Clockify, Pumble, and Plaky.

What You'll Do

• Support our efforts related to ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR compliance.
• Understand and assist in managing the full audit lifecycle.
• Help with evidence collection and documentation ahead of audits and assessments.
• Assist in drafting and updating security policies and internal documentation.
• Perform frequent check-ups and syncs using Vanta or similar compliance tools.
• Help track security control status and follow up on overdue or missing items.
• Assist in responding to vendor security assessments and client questionnaires.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve compliance workflows.

Must-Haves

• 1-2+ years of experience in compliance, IT support, or information security.
• Basic knowledge of audit processes, security frameworks, and evidence collection.
• Ability to write simple but clear documentation and policies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Comfort working independently and staying organized in a remote setting.
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Based in Serbia, able to work remotely and come into the Belgrade office when needed.
• Fluent in Ex-Yu languages (Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin).

Nice-To-Haves

• Experience with platforms like Vanta, Drata, or other GRC tools.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and the shared responsibility model.
