As a Lead Analyst – Cyber, Technology and Data Risk, you will support the delivery of risk management activities across cyber, technology, and data risk domains. This role is ideal for someone earlier in their risk career who is eager to learn, contribute to meaningful work, and grow within a high-performing team.

You’ll assist with risk assessments, reporting, control reviews, and stakeholder coordination, helping to embed risk practices into the organisation’s technology and data landscape. Risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed in line with the enterprise risk framework.

This role is ideal for a risk professional with strong delivery capability, stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for enabling secure and resilient technology and data environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of risk assessments, control testing, and issue tracking across cyber, technology, and data risk areas.

  • Support the preparation of risk reports, dashboards, and governance materials.

  • Maintain and update risk registers, control libraries, and action plans.

  • Help coordinate responses to internal audits, regulatory reviews, and assurance activities.

  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging risk trends.

  • Collaborate with Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data teams to gather information and support risk-related initiatives.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of risk processes, templates, and tools.

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in technology risk, cyber risk, operational risk, or a related discipline.

  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks (e.g. ISO 31000, NIST CSF, COBIT) and regulatory expectations (e.g. CPS 234, CPS 230).

  • Experience working in or with large, complex organisations undergoing technology or data transformation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into business impacts.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.

  • Familiarity with GRC tools and risk reporting platforms is advantageous.

  • Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g. CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CISA) are desirable.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber, Technology and Data Risk within the Risk Management team (Line 2), you will play a leading role in establishing effective Line 2 review, challenge, and insight across the Bank’s material risk classes. Establishing strategic and trusted relationships across the Bank is fundamental to the team’s success.
