Cyber Engineer

HOW A CYBER ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Evaluates and maintains security posture and evaluates end-to-end voice, video and network systems through their entire life cycle.
• Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and customer information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods with specific emphasis on network operations.
• Tests, implements, deploys, maintains, and administers the infrastructure hardware and software.
• Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design.
• Responsible for a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
• Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research.
• Involved in the design and development of new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Science - Cybersecurity
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Experience in Federal space, FAA, DoD, etc...Experience with telecommunication systems, video platforms, MS Teams
● Location: On GDIT / Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $75,067 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
