International Digital Services (IDS) is a strategic and pivotal unit, contributing to the Group’s transformation vision by providing leadership in new and breakthrough strategies and development of new and emerging business and operating models. As a business unit, it is focused on adjacent to Telco opportunities, continuously innovating to harness scale and synergies across the Group to deliver quality solutions to telcos and enterprises regionally and internationally. Beyond business, IDS champions an agile and streamlined operating model while serves as a launchpad for talent development. 

The Telco Cloud & Solutions vertical is a key contributor to the IDS business and aims market breakthrough for SME Digitalization with a robust Cloud platform, intelligent solutions marketplace and serving a vibrant SME community for the region. As Senior Cloud & Security Engineer,  you will drive the delivery, security and operations for the lifecycle of the Cloud platform and its marketplace.

Make an Impact by

• Lead and execute the platform and service operation, upgrade and maintenance. Devise or validate the method of procedures and customer provisioning, ensure these activities do not degrade nor cause service impact to end customers. Plan and execute
• The platform is built on top of a cloud service provider, to provide and enable the run-time for the customer workloads. Ensure solution delivered in accordance to the requirements and specifications. Oversee the BAU operation after the delivery
• Provide necessary technical supports to Sales team.
• Day to day responsibilities will be to ensure the platform is secure from external threats and malware and plan/ implement the necessary Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Tests and Firewall rules management. Ensure the platform security standards align to internal and external policies
• Prioritize day to day platform issues, and plan ahead on preventive measure to ensure the platform stability and upheld the SLAs. Coordinate with 3rd party providers on problem resolution and ensure vendor adhere to the set SLAs. Periodical reports and analytic recommendation to be managed and provided to upper management. Manage escalation
• Monitor the vendor performance in accordance to the contracts. Ensure all vendor obligations are fulfilled.
• Accountable on overall service level stability and functioning, with continuous enhancement to improve the service availability and customer experience via automation
• Review the test cases, and minimise the impact to production platform and service functioning.
• Implement the platform and service observability and alert matrix.
• Manage escalations and tickets, ensuring the closure within acceptable SLAs.
• Oversee the incidents across the platform, prioritise the incidents and execute the incident procedures and protocols, as well as ensure regulatory compliance and incident resolution SLA are met.

Skills for Success

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business, IT or EEE or related
• 10 years industry experience working with DevSecOps function for complex systems
• Extensive knowledge and experience in cloud management, deployment, and support
• Extensive experience in cloud delivery and operations of multi-tenanted platforms
• Experience in problem resolution, incident and customer tickets resolutions
• Good knowledge of Cloud technology and services, ICT and Cloud Products
• Prior leadership experience
• Experience in platform and service monitoring and alerting
• Competent and experienced in platform and network Security.
• Strong results orientation and take ownership
• Proficient in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, Perl)
• Strong hands-on experience on Linux OS and Serverless frameworks
• Possess solid knowledge and experience with containers and container orchestration tools 
• Extensive experience networking  (IP routing, DNS, Load Balancing, IPsec VPN, VPC, Subnets)
• Proficient in enabling security by design on platform and network levels, and managing firewall rules, IAM and proxies
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Practitioner of agile and DevSecOps practices and the usage of related CI/ CD tools such as Jira, Jenkins and configuration tools like Ansible, Chef an Puppet
• Creative, resourceful, with good analytical skills
