About Your Role

In the role as Director of Cryptography, you will lead our key management cryptographic initiatives to ensure the security of our data. You will have a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, a proven track record in implementing cryptographic solutions, and the ability to lead a team of cryptography experts.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and implement cryptographic strategies to protect sensitive data
• Lead and manage a team of cryptography professionals, providing guidance and mentorship
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate cryptographic solutions into various systems and applications
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cryptographic vulnerabilities
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cryptography and related technologies
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to cryptography and data security
• Oversee the development and maintenance of cryptographic policies and procedures
• Provide expert advice on cryptographic matters to senior management and other stakeholders

Experience you’ll need to have:

• 10+ years of experience in cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and key management
• 10+ years of experience with cryptographic protocols and standards (e.g. AES, RSA, ECC, TLS, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in leading and managing a team of cryptography professionals
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus
• Knowledge of quantum cryptography and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms
• Familiarity with secure software development practices

How you’ll work:

• Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech, this role is on-site Monday through Friday
• This role may require flexibility to work overtime that includes weekends and holidays
• This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment

Travel:

• Approximately 15% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected
